The Master seemed to grin. “Patience, Halfling,” he continued. “And so I searched for a being with an innocent soul…And there he was,” He licked his toad lips with one of his tongues greedily. “An orphan with a heart that he gave freely to all that needed it. A boy whose only goal in life was to make others happy, even when his own life had been torn by those stronger than he and broken by a bloody war"
....“Oh, Halfling… It was so very easy to lure Allik into my trap. All he had ever wanted was someone to love him, and I gave him just that-- A tiny black bat that fluttered around him and danced for his entertainment. He adored the little ploy, it was so perfect.”

This is my original character, Allik, a German boy who was taken from his family because his parents did not want anything to do with Hitler and his plans. His fatther was killed on the spot, while his mother died in cativity and of a broken heart.
Allik remained, recruted as a Kapo for the Nazi army until he was 17 years old, when he supposidly died of hypothermia from transporting Jews to a new camp.

But Allik didn't die. Out in the frozen wilderness and blizzard he saw a flicker of black and in delhirium, fallowed it. It spoke to him as he fell farther away from the group, asking him to give himself up to it for a new life.

Allik agreed and he now no longer remembers that life, kept as an instrument in the sick Master's game.
