40 Please More Time

For the 100 Themes Challenge

#40-- Time

There was a lot of the themse in the challenge that could have gone for this picture, but I decided to go with "Time"

This was taken just last week at the cemetary where my big sister's grave is. It was her brithday, and we celebrate it every year for her there

And this grave in particular was freshly-dug, and seemed odd to me, seeing the flowers on such a fresh grave just strewn on top of it.... It kind of made me sad

I chose time for this one because time itself is something we all fight against. "More time--Please!" We ask, and yet time is kind to no one but ideas and stories. We are all slaves of time and he cuts the string when he feels it's right. We ask for more time to be with people we love, for nights to be longer, for days with friends to never end, for children to never grow up, for us not to grow up ourselves, for the people we love not to grow old--And yet time rakes scars on thier skin and makes thier eyes grow dull and we know time has yet to take them away. This man was taken by time, and so will we all someday.
